We also hold many documents of interest relative to Pendle
Forest that have been kindly donated to our library. Copies of
most of these can be found in our archives.
The Group now has its own technology support with GPS
mapping equipment, and has attracted the attention of the Media
with features on BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Radio 4’s Open
Country as well as press and magazine coverage.
There is still considerable work to be done with further in-depth
investigation of a potential settlement find and an itinerary of
further sites of interest.

We meet regularly on a monthly basis in
the Barley Village Hall on the third
Wednesday of each month and we have a
mixture of guest speakers, activity
planning and report meetings together
with field trips to consider the landscape
and sites and features therein. All
welcome at any of our meetings.
